Description
GlobalProtect is Palo Alto Networks VPN that secures remote access to MCC's network. It encrypts traffic to safely access internal resources and is configured by your IT department with a specific portal address, your login credentials, and a multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
Instructions
1. Access Software Center by searching for it in your task bars search box, click Open.
2. Under Applications in Software Center, click GlobalProtect.
3. Click Install.
4. Once installed GlobalProtect will open. If it does not open, it can be opened by using the task bar's search box.
NOTE: If the “Portal” field is blank please enter “vpn.mccneb.edu” without the quotes and click Connect.
5. When prompted, enter your MCC credentials. Click Connect.
6. After clicking Connect, you will be prompted with your MFA options. Please enter the number option of your choice.
Example: If your authentication method is through SMS text message, enter the number 4 and click Verify.
7. Once connected, you should see something similar to the below.
8. When finished using the VPN, click Disconnect.
NOTE: GlobalProtect doesn’t have a close option. The below window should go away when you click onto another application.
