Error Message
When trying to access certain features from the Student Self Service page, the error "403 Forbidden" is returned when attempting to log in.
Description
The authentication service provider (Okta) has not issued permissions for your MCC ID for student services. Follow the checks below to confirm if the problems are an account or a device issue.
Resolution
- Correct self service portal? MCC hosts two separate self help portals. Faculty & staff use the Unity link. Students need to use the "Canvas/Student Links" button instead.
- Apple (MacOS)? Confirm that Apple's Private Relay feature is turned off. Also check that you are not using a anonymous VPN service for routing Internet traffic.
- Third-Party VPN? Turn off any VPN connections currently enabled on your device. Try logging in again.
- Public Proxy? Disable public proxies, as this can disrupt the Okta authentication process.
