HoverCam and Laptop Instructions for SOC, Mahoney Room 103

Description

A HoverCam is a type of document camer, primarily used in educational settings, that functions as both a high-quality webcam and a document projector. It allows teachers to display physical objects, books, or documents to a class or online audience, as well as to host online classes.

The South Omaha Campus, Mahoney building,, room 103 has a unique HoverCam setup. This article gives users instructions on this specific HoverCam. 

Instructions

The HoverCam is wired via the orange cable into the computer.

1. Turn on the Hover cam using the power button.

  • Ensure the output is set to USB. 

2. On the computer desktop, double-click on the FlexCam software icon.

  • This will recognize the HoverCam. 

3. Using the projector remote control, set the projector to HDMI.

4. To connect and display your laptop on the screen, use the cable labeled laptop to connect to the HDMI output on your laptop.

5. Change the input on the HDMI switch to LAPTOP.
