How to Generate a New Okta Verify QR Code

Description

Create a new QR code to setup Okta Verify. 

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Okta dashboard.
  2. Next to your name in the upper right-hand corner, click the drop-down arrow and select Settings.

  1. If needed, click the green Edit Profile button at the top of the page.

  1. If prompted, verify your current MCC password.

  1. If you have another authentication factor setup, select your method to authenticate first.

  1. If you have no other choices, contact IT Support Services at 531-622-2900 to have your Okta Verify MFA factor reset.
  2. In the Security Methods box, click Remove to the right of "Okta Verify".

  1. The remove button changes to "Set up", follow the steps to receive a new QR code.
