Okta, what is it?

1. Okta is the security and single sign on software used at MCC.
2. When signing into an MCC app (Office 365, for example), Okta will send out a warning if the attempt is from a new “device” that your user account hasn’t used before. The device could be anything from a new browser, phone, or computer. It could even be from something you’ve used before, but the cookie/session was deleted/expired.
3. If you’re positive you didn’t sign into anything at that time, the best thing to do is just change your password.
