Description
MCC's INFO VPN extends a private network across a public network, such as the Internet. It enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network. Applications running across the VPN may therefore benefit from the functionality, security, and management of the private network. MCC's INFO VPN allow enrolled students to securely access a school's intranet while located off the campus using GlobalProtect.
Instructions
1. The GlobalProtect app is needed to connect to the INFO VPN. Students can obtain the installer for GlobalProtect from their instructor.
2. Once installed GlobalProtect will open. If it does not open it can be opened by using the Magnifying Glass and typing GlobalProtect.
NOTE: If the “Portal” field is blank please enter “infovpn.mccinfo.net” without the quotes in the Portal field and click Connect.
3. When prompted, enter your MCC credentials.
4. After clicking Connect, you will be prompted with your MFA options. Please enter the number option of your choice.
Example: If your authentication method is through SMS text message, enter the number 4 and click Verify.
5. Once connected, you should see something similar to below.
6. While on the Connected box, you are able to change the Gateway.
7. When finished using the VPN, click Disconnect.
NOTE: GlobalProtect doesn’t have a close option. The below window should go away when you click onto another application.
