Question
As an Canvas course instructor, how soon can I get access to a course shell in preparation for a semester? As a student, how soon do I get access to Canvas after enrolling?
Answer
Canvas instructor accounts and actual term courses will not be created until 30 days prior to the term.
- Instructors can request a Sandbox course to begin planning and testing. MCC Canvas Support can create shell courses to help familiarize new instructors in Canvas.
- Students can sign into Canvas 30 days prior, but will not see their classes until the first day of the quarter.
