Description
Forgetting a wireless network on your device is often a useful strategy when troubleshooting wireless network problems, particularly if your configuration or access key for the wireless network may be incorrect. This article provides instructions on how to forget a wireless network on various operating systems and device types.
Instructions
Desktop
Windows 11:
- Open Settings: Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
- Network & Internet: Go to Network & Internet.
- Wi-Fi: Click on Wi-Fi in the left sidebar.
- Manage known networks: Click on Manage known networks.
- Select the network: Find the network you want to forget and click on it.
- Forget: Click the Forget button.

Mobile
Android:
- Open Settings: Go to the Settings app.
- Network & Internet: Tap on Network & Internet.
- Wi-Fi: Tap on Wi-Fi.
- Saved networks: Tap on Saved networks.
- Select the network: Tap on the network you want to forget.
- Forget: Tap Forget
iPhone:
- Open Settings: Go to the Settings app.
- Wi-Fi: Tap on Wi-Fi.
- Select the network: Tap the i icon next to the network you want to forget.
- Forget This Network: Tap Forget This Network and confirm
