Error: Another Account from Your Organization is Already Signed In

Error Message

Description

When you try to sign in to an Office app using your MCC email address and password, you receive the above error message. 

Resolution

  1. Sign out of all Office 365 apps: Make sure to sign out of any other accounts that might be logged in.
  2. Clear credentials: Open the Credential Manager in Windows, go to Windows Credentials, and remove any related Office credentials.
  3. Check Windows settings: Go to Windows settings > Accounts > Access work or school, and ensure no other business accounts are logged in. 
  4. Restart your computer: Sometimes a restart can help clear any lingering issues.
  5. Update Office 365: Ensure your Office 365 apps are up to date.
