Description
MCC has now activated the ability to receive inclement weather & emergency text alerts.
To use this option, students and employees can enroll for no charge; however, the user is responsible for purchasing standard text messaging through their cell phone provider.
Instructions
- From the Student Links page (https://www.mccneb.edu/student-links), click on the Emergency & Weather Alerts Tile:


- You will be redirected to an Etrieve form where you can choose to opt-in or out to receive both Weather and Emergency related text alerts.
Click the radio buttons for the notifications you wish to receive.

3. At the bottom of the form page, click "Submit".

Additional Information
In addition to the text alerts, employees and students may verify if College campuses and centers are open or closed using the following methods:
- www.mccneb.edu - weather-related information messages will appear in red on the top of the browser window.
- 531-622-2499 - Metro's weather hotline has recorded messages regarding class delays or cancellations.
- MCC student and staff via MCC email and/or voice mail as a broadcast message may be sent to both regarding inclement weather.
- Employee calling tree communication (if used in the employee's area).
- Practicum/clinical/internship students should check with their faculty or site advisors to clarify individual expectations in the event of inclement weather or other adverse conditions.
